Beter Verwagting
The village next door
The Dutch who mapped this coast named the next village along Beter Verwagting — better expectation. Three centuries later we built six suites beside it and decided to take the name literally.

Two-bedroom suites for a working week, three-bedroom suites for everyone who came with you, and a four-bedroom still being finished. Every one of them sits behind the same gate, the same guard, the same standby generator.

Our Story
A man in real estate built himself a second home
After years spent selling other people’s property, Terry Slowe built one he intended to keep. Six apartments to modern standards, finished Caribbean — full of colour, and alive.
He opened it to guests in March 2022. The instinct never changed: this is somebody’s house, and you are staying in it. That is why breakfast is cooked to your requirements rather than laid out at a temperature, and why the gate is guarded at four in the morning.

Every morningThe day starts downstairs. Continental or a full buffet, with gluten-free and vegan plates prepared on request rather than apologised for.
Gym & Fitness
Open to the houseA fully equipped gym on site — new, and yours without booking a slot or leaving the property before sunrise.
Massage
By arrangementMassage arranged through the house, timed to your day rather than a spa's opening hours.
Bike Rental
The coast roadBicycles from the house. The East Coast road runs flat all the way into Georgetown — the honest way to see the villages between here and the city.
24-Hour Security
AlwaysSecurity on the property twenty-four hours a day, with surveillance cameras throughout and parking inside the gate. It is the least interesting thing about staying here, which is the point.
